Letters

This month's Letters highlight Saia employees that have received special thanks from some of our customers or the public.

Joe Boykin
Terminal Manager
MPS

Joe:

When you work with someone on and off on a daily basis, fixing billing errors, and she does such an amazing job, I think her manager should know about it.

I speak to MPS Operations Clerk Kecia Carlock weekly regarding billing errors and she is such a pleasure to talk with and I never have to follow up. She is courteous and friendly and does a wonderful job.

So, I wanted Saia to know they have a great employee and that I appreciate her and so should they!

Thanks,

Katrinia K. Watson
East Coast Warehouse/Office manager
Bath/Home Divisions
Fairmont Designs
Southaven, Miss.

Cathy White
District Sales Manager
DLS

Oftentimes, I come across someone who goes above and beyond. In this case I am speaking of DLS City Driver David Lampman. Every time he picks up at our facility he is always cordial, patient, and very helpful.

Just last week he caught an error before we loaded it, which would have caused us further issues. Its people such as David that represent Saia in the manner that I am sure you are hoping for. So, with that said, please be sure and let David know he is appreciated over here at Heritage Bag.

Thank you,

Danny Radabaugh

Hello!

My name is Eric Polirer, president of PA Overstock Incorporated, located in Margate, Fla. I am writing to compliment the driver who has delivered the last two shipments to our warehouse. We have received many shipments from many different delivery companies and MIA City Driver Edward Rodriguez has by far been the most helpful and understanding driver I have dealt with.

We had problems with our last two shipments and Ed handled them professionally and made the entire process easier for us. I am sending this message to recognize how well he has represented your company.

Thank you for your time!

Trent Peterson
National Account Executive
FON

Trent:

Thank you for sponsoring the Indy lunch. Everyone here on the Indy team really appreciates what you and Saia did.

I have been meaning to email another, more meaningful, thank you too. You know how devastating Hurricane Harvey was in Texas and we had a lot of facilities impacted. You said that our medical supply orders would get priority when the affected terminals were operational.

I felt this wouldn’t happen, not because you did not mean it, I just thought it would be so difficult getting everything back to normal — that to expect the terminals to sort the orders in any way would be a lot.

Once they opened, I do believe the medical supply orders were given a priority. The web information was really excellent and seemed to be updated in real-time.

You always hear the complaints and we take normal on-time deliveries for granted. I did want to thank you for the additional TLC service during horrible Hurricane Harvey.

Sincerely,

Joan Melling

Good Morning!

I would like to take a moment to commend MKE City Driver Adam Peterson.

We were expecting the worst and got the best! He delivered our new snow blower right to our garage door, unloading it right to the ground. He met us at the front door with a very upbeat personality. He was a real pleasure to deal with and a great ambassador for your company.

Having managed distribution facilities for 40 years of my life, I know this isn't always the case.

Please recognize him for a job above and beyond what was expected. Bravo to him and your well-managed company! Thank you!

Kindest regards,

Jeff Bloomdahl
