Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights four promotions - of our new Inside Sales and Specialty Markets director, the new Atlanta region district sales manager, a new national account executive and the Los Angeles terminal manager.

Lealos Named Director of Inside Sales

Bill Lealos has been named the director of Inside Sales and Specialty Markets. In his new role, Bill will oversee the development and expansion of the Inside Sales Department and our North American markets, which include LinkEx, Saia Guaranteed, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico.

Bill joined Saia in 2013 as the district sales manager for the Atlanta region. During his tenure, he contributed to the Atlanta terminal's revenue growth and continuous profitability improvement. He will be domiciled at the Atlanta Corporate Office and both the sales development manager and sales supervisor for the Inside Sales Department, along with our North American market specialists, will report to him.

Prentice Named New District Sales Manager

Matt Prentice has been named the new district sales manager for the Atlanta region. Matt joined Saia in 2012 as an account executive and during that time, earned President's Club multiple times. In 2015, Matt was promoted to business development executive after winning President's Club for the year. Matt will be domiciled at the Nashville terminal and will report to Tim Vollor.

Sprague Named New National Account Executive

Michael Sprague has been named a national account executive. Michael will handle accounts for Saia in the Midwest. He joined the company in 2012 as an account executive and was promoted to business development executive last year. He is a three-time President's Club winner.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and a master's degree in business administration from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Valdez Named New LAX Terminal Manager

Armando Valdez has been named our new Los Angeles terminal manager. Armando began his career at Saia as a city dispatcher in 2011 before being promoted to operations manager.

He had previously worked as a terminal manager for another large carrier and has 35 years of experience in the transportation industry. Armando holds an associate's degree from East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park, Calif.
