Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights four individuals named to new positions — the new DLS Regional Human Resource Manager, Director of 3PL Sales, FTW Terminal Manager, and our new National Accounts Service Manager.

Hamilton Named New Regional HR Manager

Kevin M. Hamilton has been named our new DLS regional human resource manager. Kevin joined Saia in 2005 and was previously the training supervisor for the GRL terminal. Before this, he was a line driver with over one million miles of safe driving.

Kevin has 28 years of experience in the transportation industry and started his career as a data entry clerk. He has served on the dock and as a driver, supervisor, dispatcher, superintendent and operations manager.

Jandacek Named Director of 3PL Sales

Scott Jandacek has been named our director of 3PL sales. Scott will be relocating to the Atlanta area and will be domiciled at the ACO. In his new role, he will lead the company’s 3PL strategy, managing profit and directional growth of our 3PL customer base. We plan to add four national account 3PL sales executives to support this new vertical.

Scott joined Saia in 2010 and has excelled in every position he’s held with the company. He began his career as an account executive. He was soon promoted to MSP terminal manager. He served in this role for over two years and was instrumental in providing consistent leadership to our employees and quality service for our customers. In 2014, he was named a national account executive with responsibility managing our top 3PL customers.

He has over 16 years of experience with a vast knowledge of both sales and operations. Prior to joining Saia, he worked as a corporate account executive in the Chicago area.

Milam Named New FTW Terminal Manager

Rick Milam has been named the terminal manager for our new Forth Worth facility. Rick first started his career at Saia in 1996. He left in 2005, but returned last year. He has served in a variety of positions over the years, both at Saia and at other carriers, including supervisor, outbound and inbound operations manager, assistant terminal manager, terminal manager, and regional manager. He brings 36 years of experience to his new role.

Sturdivant Named National Accounts Service Manager

Jennifer Sturdivant has accepted the new national accounts service manager position at the ACO. Jennifer will lead a team of national account coordinators, located at both the ACO and BGO, as we continue to enhance our level of service to our customers.

She has been with Saia for almost 7 years and has spent most of this time servicing our national account group. Prior to joining Saia, she was employed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper as a national account specialist and advertising coordinator.
