Saia Announces TriHealth Healthy Directions

Through Saia’s “Delivering Wellness” program, we have invested millions of dollars to encourage employees to lead a healthier lifestyle. As a result, many of you and your spouses have lost weight, quit smoking, changed eating habits, improved exercise routines, and made improvements to your overall health - for those accomplishments congratulations!

Despite these efforts, some have experienced an increase in the incidence of diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease. In researching these issues, it has come to our attention that an alarming number of employees and spouses have failed to have an annual “prevention visit” with their primary care physician, failed to have their recommended mammography, Pap smear, or colorectal exams.

Saia’s most valuable asset is our employees. As such, we are taking “wellness” to the next level.  Effective April 1, “TriHealth Healthy Directions” will replace the “Saia Delivering Wellness” program.

This upgrade will focus on you and your participating spouse visiting your primary care physician for a “preventive office visit.” Remember that this visit will be covered by our health plan at 100%, so there will be no out-of-pocket cost to you.

The programs and resources being offered through “TriHealth Healthy Directions” are intended to lead employees and their families to a better, healthier quality of life.
