Line Driver Retires

Calvain “Buddy” Holmes, a JAX line driver, has retired after more than 12 years behind the wheel. Coworkers recently said goodbye and honored Buddy with a cake and an award. Congratulations Buddy! Everyone at Saia wishes you many years of enjoyment! Happy retirement!

Dockworker Retires

Willie Hicks, an ATL dockworker, recently retired after 28 years of service to the company. Colleagues helped him celebrate recently with a cake and gifts. Willie was admired by many at the Atlanta terminal where he’ll greatly be missed by those who worked with him on the dock and in the office. All of us at Saia wish you a long and happy retirement, Willie! Congratulations!

Saia Relocates New Jersey Terminal

Saia LTL Freight has moved its New Jersey terminal, formerly located in New Bergen, to a location in Newark. The bigger facility consists of a warehouse/dock with over 100 doors, as well as an office and shop, all situated on a 9.5-acre site.

All 60 employees that were domiciled at the old terminal have been relocated to the Newark facility. The facility provides next day service to all points in Pennsylvania as well as locations in Maryland.
