Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights the new NOL, TUL, CIN and NWB terminal managers. Also featured is the new CIN regional manager.

Battaglia Named NOL Terminal Manager

Henry Battaglia has assumed the terminal manager role for our NOL facility. Henry has been with Saia for 35 years. He began his career as the NOL OS&D manager, after which he was named the very first regional claims prevention manager over our HST and NOL Regions.

After Hurricane Katrina, Henry moved to the BRG terminal and transitioned to sales, becoming a business development executive. In this role, he was named a President’s Club winner four times and received “Best-in-Class” recognition for two years. In 2017, he transferred back to the NOL terminal.

Benavides Promoted to TUL Terminal Manager

Otilio Benavides has been named our new TUL terminal manager. With 24 years of experience in the transportation industry, Otilio joined Saia in 2006 and has served the HST terminal as a frontline supervisor as well as an operations and assistant terminal manager.

Haehnlein Accepts CIN Terminal Manager Role

Jason Haehnlein has accepted the position of terminal manager for our CIN breakbulk facility. Jason successfully managed the responsibilities of both our DET and CIN terminals in the past and will now do so again, at the CIN facility, bringing with him the experience he gained at the regional level. Jason has also proudly served our country in the military as well.

Monahan Named CIN Regional Manager

Bill Monahan has been named the new CIN regional manager. Bill has spent a number of years in the industry, 20 with Saia, including time as the manager for our ATL, CLV, HNT, LRK, and MIA terminals. He also brings regional management experience to his new role as he previously served in this capacity for our CIN and CGO Regions. Prior to his time in transportation, Bill served our country for eight years in the military.

Zelonis Assumes NWB Terminal Manager Position

Tim Zelonis has been named the manager for our NWB breakbulk terminal. Tim has 20-plus years of combined sales and operational leadership experience in the transportation industry. Most recently, he was with another, large carrier serving in a variety of positions.
