Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights several new terminal managers and the selection of the new NOL regional sales manager.

Axley Named TPA Terminal Manager

David Axley has been named our Tampa, Florida terminal manager. David has been with Saia for nine years holding various leadership roles including dock supervisor, operations manager, assistant terminal manager, and terminal manager for our Athens, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee facilities. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. David is also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served on three deployments - twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan.

NOL Regional Sales Manager Selected

David Dobrowski has been selected to lead as our NOL regional sales manager. In this role, David will manage and direct sales activity/performance and profitability for the region. Though new to Saia, he has extensive experience in the transportation industry having served as the vice president of sales and marketing for a regional carrier. David possesses a bachelor’s degree in business management/marketing from the University of Tampa.

Duffek Accepts Terminal Manager Position

Teresa Duffek has accepted the position of manager for our Des Moines, Iowa terminal. Teresa brings 16 years of industry experience to this role, having worked her way through the ranks of clerical support, office manager, sales, operations manager, as well as break terminal manager, over the past seven years before joining Saia.

Egli Receives Promotion

Adam Egli has been promoted to terminal manager. Adam will lead our Detroit, Michigan facility with an eye towards better serving our customers through improving efficiencies and reducing claims. He joined Saia in 2013 and has previously served as a dock supervisor and city dispatcher. Adam studied liberal arts at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Moses Chosen to Lead NRF Terminal

Jermaine Moses has been named our Norfolk, Virginia terminal manager. Though new to Saia, Jermaine has 10 years of experience in the transportation industry having served as an operations group leader, dispatcher, breakbulk supervisor and terminal manager with various organizations. He, too, is a veteran of the U.S. Army achieving the rank of captain. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology and a master’s degree in management and leadership.

New ORG and LBH Terminal Managers Named

Edward Zepeda has been named the new manager of our Orange terminal, located in Gardena, California. Ed has 34 years of experience in transportation having started his career in the industry at 18. He joined Saia in 2012 and has served as a supervisor, operations manager and assistant terminal manager — all at our Fontana facility. Additionally, Mike Eley has been named the manager of our Long Beach terminal. With 35 years of experience in the transportation industry, Mike joined Saia in 1998 and had previously served as the manager of our Orange facility since 2006. Prior to this, he was the Los Angeles operations manager.
