Company Update

This month, we are highlighting a new district sales manager, two new directors of claims prevention, and a new director of maintenance, along with several other promotions.

New CGO District Sales Manager Announced

Jamie Dutter has been named our new CGO district sales manager. Jamie has 17 years of transportation experience in the truckload, LTL and brokerage industries and started as an account executive at Saia in 2015. In her new position, she will provide support and management of the sales team in the CGO Region.

Jamie’s career in transportation began with her working at a Wisconsin-based warehousing company, building an internal brokerage grossing over $13 million annually.  After that, she moved into operations at shipper, Neenah Paper, building and managing an internal team to handle Neenah’s freight worldwide. She attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Fox Cities Campus, in Menasha, Wisconsin and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay.

Haggenmaker Receives Promotion

Phillip Haggenmaker has been named the manager at our BHM terminal. Phillip, who goes by Seth, has six years of experience with Saia. He started with us in BHM where he successfully ran the outbound and breakbulk dock operations. Seth gained additional knowledge and experience while performing the role of city dispatcher at our ATL terminal. For the past two years, Seth has been our terminal manager in ATH.

New Directors of Claims Prevention Named

Eloy Flores and Brandon Gillen have both been named Saia’s new directors of claims prevention. Eloy will oversee our claims prevention efforts in the West while Brandon will manage our initiatives in the East.

Eloy has been at Saia for the last nine years and has served the majority of it as the HST regional claims prevention manager. He has 25 years of experience in the industry and studied at what is now known as the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Brownsville, Texas.

Brandon has worked at Saia for the last eight years. He has 18 years of experience in the industry . During his time with Saia, he has served as an operations manager and as a regional claims prevention manger. He previously worked as a regional manager for another national transportation company. Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in management information services from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Pennison Promoted to Director of Cargo Claims

Becky Pennison has been named our director of cargo claims. As such, she will be responsible for the direction and oversight of the Cargo Claims Department, its staff, and all operations relative to claims handling. Additionally, she will monitor and supervise all third party salvage sales.

Becky has been at Saia for 26 years and served her entire career within the Claims Department where she advanced from investigator to supervisor and then was promoted to manager in 2013. In this role, Becky’s expertise and knowledge running the department have been invaluable.

Robinette Named Director of Maintenance Operations, East

Shawn Robinette has been named our director of maintenance operations, East. Shawn has been with Saia since April 2017, serving as the HBG regional maintenance manager. He was an integral part of the team that successfully worked to support Saia’s expansion into the Northeast. Prior to joining the company, Shawn held several fleet maintenance management positions with Valley Proteins based out of Winchester, Virginia.

Terrill Promoted to District Sales Manager Position

Tandi Terrill has been named our new JAX district sales manager. Tandi has 28 years of experience in the LTL industry and started as an account executive at Saia in 2012. She has been recognized three times as a President’s Club winner. In her new position, she will provide support and management of the sales team in the JAX Region.

Tandi’s career in transportation began with her working as a nighttime billing clerk at another carrier before she transitioned into an OS&D role. After that, she moved into operations at both a regional and then a nationwide carrier, serving as an inbound and outbound supervisor. She attended Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.
