Company Update

This month, we are highlighting several employee announcements for team members who've been named new directors and managers.

Budrock Promoted to Director of Customer Satisfaction

Stacie Budrock has been named Saia’s new director of customer satisfaction. In this role, Stacie will be responsible for all aspects of customer service and collaborating with sales and operations to improve our customers’ overall experience. She began her career at the company 15 years ago as a biller and moved to the Customer Service Department where she was a supervisor and most recently, our customer service manager.

Champion Named Director of DE&I and Talent Development

Cheralyn Champion was promoted to director of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) and talent development. In this role, Cheralyn will lead a team to evaluate and deliver talent development practices, diversity metrics and oversight of the design of our training and programs to enhance the skills and performance of employees at all levels of the company.

Cheralyn brings more than 25 years of extensive and practical organizational development experience to her position. She holds master’s degrees in both industrial and organizational psychology and adult education/human resource (HR) development from the University of Georgia and Indiana/Purdue University, respectively. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana. She also attended Georgia State University, where she was a student in their post baccalaureate HR program.

Dutter Receives Promotion; Named New CGO RSM

Jamie Dutter has been promoted to CGO regional sales manager. Jamie has 17 years of transportation experience in the truckload, LTL and brokerage industries and started as an account executive in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 2015. Most recently, she held the role of CGO district sales manager. Jamie attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Fox Cities, in Menasha and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay.

Lowery Assumes Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Role

Annie Lowery has been named our director of financial planning and analysis (FP&A). In this role, she will oversee the company’s planning and forecasting functions, while also driving the strategic planning process and budget compliance.

Annie joined Saia in 2016 as a senior financial analyst. In that position, she was instrumental in building out the FP&A functions at the company. Based on her success, she was promoted to manager of FP&A in 2019. As manager, she continued to build upon her success as she further developed relationships with key stakeholders and was the main finance business partner on several strategic projects and initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.

Muller Named Director of Compensation and Benefits

Patricia Muller has been named director of compensation and benefits, a new role for the company. In this position, she has been tasked with leading the strategic direction of our compensation and benefits. Patricia has spent many years in HR and benefits at several well-known companies, serving in consulting roles along with various leadership positions. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the company from both the healthcare and insurance industries. Patricia earned her master’s degree from Clemson University.

New Director of 3PL Named

Jennifer Seiwell has been named the director of our 3PL vertical. She had been serving as our national account executive (NAE) for the lower Northeast states. In her new role, Jennifer will lead our 3PL National Accounts Sales Team in executing our growth and profit objectives and will report directly to me.

Jennifer started her career with Saia in 2017 as an account executive, managing customer relationships in both Allentown and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Based on her achievements, she was promoted to the National Account Sales Team in 2019. During her time as an NAE, Jennifer demonstrated an ability to improve operating income while executing our growth strategy, which earned her back-to-back President’s Club honors in 2020 and 2021. She has over 15 years of sales experience in the transportation industry. Prior to joining Saia, Jennifer worked as a strategic account executive for a regional truckload carrier in the Northeast.

Smith Receives Promotion; Named GRA Terminal Manager

Mike Smith was named our GRA terminal manager. Since starting with the company in 2021, he has successfully served in different roles, most recently as the assistant terminal manager for our IND facility. Mike has 29 years of experience in the transportation industry.
