Letters

This month's Letters highlight Saia employees or departments that have received special thanks from some of our customers or the public.

Good morning! My name is Angela Crance and I’m the owner of Art and Soul in Valdosta, Georgia. We have been open for eight years and recently, we received a shipment delivered by y'all.

I would like to say that VGA City Driver Michael Straukas was the best driver we have ever had...in eight years! My helpers were not in yet so he went above and beyond helping me take every box into my building. He gave customer service a new level of excellence! I just wanted to let you know you have the best of the best!

In admiration and thanks,

Angela Crance

Hey John,

I wanted to take a minute and give you some feedback on BWI City Driver Marvin Clark

Marvin is a complete joy to work with as he is always courteous, friendly and accommodating. He is funny and has a contagious smile. The guys on the dock look forward to him stopping by. He is always well-groomed and I wish all the other drivers that come here were of his caliber.

It was a pleasure to stop by the terminal and meet the staff. They were very welcoming and kind, although that could have been the baked goods…😊

Everyone has been amazing and as you probably already know…BWI Account Executive Kelly Smith is amazing. She has gone above and beyond every day to make a difference in Triangles’ ability to service our customers.

While she knew what she was getting into, she works tirelessly every day to make sure our freight is delivering within service standard and as we had last week, if something is deemed emergency freight, she finds a solution to still meet our very demanding industry standards and it is certainly appreciated.

Warm regards,

To whom it may concern:

Recently, MKE City Driver Matthew Pohl delivered equipment to the WEC Ixonia LNG facility in Ixonia, Wisconsin. Matt conducted himself as a professional and wore the required personal protective equipment when he was out of his truck making the delivery. He was courteous and efficient. Please extend our thanks to him. I hope that the standard by which he conducts himself is the rule for Saia and not the exception. Kudos Matt! Thanks for your cooperation and willingness to go the extra mile that earns good perception of you and your employer.

Thanks,
