Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights several promotions and changes to our management team.

Rogers Named PDX District Sales Manager

Glenn Rogers has been named our new PDX district sales manager. Though new to Saia, Glenn has 25 years of experience in the transportation industry having worked as a terminal manager at a leading logistics provider as well as a director for a national ground courier.  He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Warner Pacific College and a master's degree in business administration from California Coast University.

Barnes Moves to Miami Facility

Ray Barnes has been named the new manager for our Miami terminal. With 30 years of experience in the transportation industry, Ray joined Saia in 2007 and had been serving as the terminal manager for our West Palm Beach facility. He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.

Horton Selected to be Zone Terminal Manager

Jason Horton has been named the new zone terminal manager for our Greensboro, N.C. and Johnson City, Tenn. facilities.

He started his career in operations with Saia in February 2009 at the Greensboro terminal. After a successful tenure as an account executive there, he was named the terminal manager/account executive for Saia's Johnson City facility. Prior to joining the company, he worked over two years at a break bulk terminal for another carrier.

Marquez Named New WPB Terminal Manager

Juan Marquez, Sr. has been named the manager of our West Palm Beach, Fla. terminal. With over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, Juan has worked as a city dispatcher and as a service center, operations, and terminal manager for two large, national carriers.

Plew Named New AUG/SAV Manager

Logan Plew has been named the new manager for our Augusta and Savannah, Ga. terminals. Though new to Saia, Logan has seven years of experience in the transportation industry having worked as an operations manager for another large, national carrier. He holds a bachelor's degree in supply chain management from Auburn University.

Spalding Promoted to Zone Manager Role

Tom Spalding has been named the new terminal manager for our Columbia and Greenville, S.C. facilities. With more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry, he has worked at Saia LTL Freight for three and a half years, serving as a city dispatcher.

Tom is originally from Dayton, Ohio. He started working part-time at his father’s terminals when he was in high school. He attended the University of New Mexico and majored in business management.

Warren Named LinkEx National Account Executive

Michelle Warren has been named a national account executive for LinkEx. Since August 2015, she had been serving as a Saia LTL Freight national account executive in the Georgia and Alabama markets.

Prior to this, she was a business development executive, senior account executive and account executive in the Atlanta area. Michelle joined Saia in 2004 and has 13 years of experience in the industry. She was recognized with President’s Club honors in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016. Before joining Saia, she was in charge of domestic operations for a large, national home improvement retailer.

In her new role, Michelle will initially spend time on all asset-light services. She'll leverage her national account experience to educate our customers in an effort to grow this portfolio.

Michelle is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where she received a degree in marketing and logistics and intermodal transportation.
