Letters

This month's Letters highlight Saia employees that have received special thanks from some of our customers or the public.

Trey Mauldin
Regional Sales Manager
DLS

Good Morning Trey:

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much we appreciate WAC Account Executive Justin Poston! His prompt response to any issue is amazing and I wish he were my contact on all my customer specific accounts. I do my best to not escalate issues with him, but when I do, the Big Red team and my team are grateful for his help. I hope you don't mind me adding him/Saia in on email chains with Big Red. I've just found it gives them a sense of security that someone else cares for their freight.

I've coped in Will and Patrick on my team, who help manage our carrier relationships, so they can be aware of Justin’s amazing service (and hopefully send more business your way! Ha!).

Thanks!

WFL City Driver Jimmy Armstrong came at the same time that we had an emergency shipment that needed to go out. He was very pleasant and waited for us to get the pallet ready. Kudo’s to him. Please let him know we are extremely grateful!

Sincerely,

Billie Pugliesi

This email was sent to SEA Terminal Manager Dennis Ryerson by HGO Casualty Claims Team Manager Bridget Preston after she received a call from an officer with the Pierce County, Wash. sheriff’s office.

As you know, SEA City Driver Michael Williams looked in his rear view mirror after making a turn and saw a vehicle flipping over. He pulled over to assist, put out triangles, and provided information/his statement to the police.

I personally spoke to Officer Cowin with the Pierce County Sheriff Office and he stated that the brakes on the vehicle involved in the accident had locked up and in an effort to avoid rear-ending us, the driver rolled the vehicle.

The officer praised our driver for stopping, assisting, and calling the accident into us!
