Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights the new OMA terminal manager appointment, the new COS/DEN zone manager, the SPT terminal manager, and the new NWB district sales manager. Also featured are the new SPM terminal manager, the new SDO/CLX terminal manager and the new SYR terminal manager.

Dillman Moves to OMA Terminal

Jonah Dillman has been named our new Omaha, Nebraska terminal manager. Jonah began his career at Saia in 2000. Most recently, he had been serving as the Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado terminal manager. Prior to this, he served the company in a variety of other positions including operations manager, supervisor, dispatcher and dockworker. Jonah has 21 years of industry experience.

Mendoza Transitions to COS/DEN Zone Manager Position

Eric Mendoza has been named our new Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado terminal manager. Eric joined Saia in July 2015 and most recently had been serving as the zone manager for our San Diego and Calexico, California facilities.

With seven years of experience in the transportation industry, Eric had also previously served as an operations manager in Tucson and a supervisor in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Saint Mary’s College of California.

New SPT Terminal Manager Named

Gill Robinson has been named the terminal manager for our Shreveport, Louisiana facility. Gill has been in LTL trucking for 25 years. He joined Saia's Houston, Texas facility in July 2011.

Salvador Promoted to NWB District Sales Manager

Peter Salvador has been named the new district sales manager for the Newburgh (NWB) Region. Peter began his career at Saia as an account executive at our St. Louis, Missouri terminal where he was a top performer before re-locating to Massachusetts to assist in opening up the West Boston facility. He has 23 years of sales and operations experience including stints as a sales trainer and terminal manager. In his three years with the company, he has helped lead Saia’s expansion into the Northeast.

Webber Named SPM Terminal Manager

John Webber was named the manager for our Springfield, Massachusetts terminal. John has over 35 years of sales and operations leadership experience in the transportation industry.

Most recently, he had been working at New England Motor Freight, serving in a variety of positions including as the corporate service and compliance manager, the New England-area regional operations manager, and as the manager of their Connecticut terminal.

Wheeler Receives Promotion

Adam Wheeler was named our San Diego and Calexico, California terminal manager. Adam has been with Saia since 2011 and served as a driver, operations manager and assistant terminal manager.

Zupo Named SYR Terminal Manager

Fran Zupo was named the manager for our Syracuse, New York terminal. Fran has 34 years of combined sales and operations leadership in the industry. Most recently, he was with New England Motor Freight, where he served in multiple positions during his tenure with the carrier. Fran has expressed his excitement about the opportunities at Saia and is ready to assist our customers and provide the kind of service needed to grow the Syracuse market.
