Kelly/Sandy:

Thank you (ODS Operations Clerk Kelly Christensen and ODS Account Executive Shelly Steen) so much for helping find the missing pallet from Key out of Alice, Texas. Your courtesy and professionalism was on point from start to finish. You both went above and beyond my expectations.

Job well done!

This past Tuesday our freight agent arranged a pickup of a palletized machine at our Lincolnwood facility. The bill of lading read Saia and I was intrigued as I am fairly sure we have not had any experience with your company before, at least not to my recollection.

I regularly monitor the trucks coming and going because it is the first sign of imminent activity. When the truck arrived, I immediately noticed that the truck was clean. The paint was bright and shiny. Saia obviously cares about its appearance.

I had a need to exit the building at that moment so I wandered outside to take a closer look. The driver exited his truck, locked the cab, and headed towards the entrance. He clearly and politely said hello to me. He made great eye contact and he looked to be enjoying his day. After attending to a small matter outside, I headed back inside the building.

The driver was waiting patiently inside while our dockworkers pulled the pallet out to load. I asked him what terminal he was from and he told me he was from Burr Ridge. As I extended my hand, I told him my name and asked him his. He said Ralph McComb, a CGO city driver. We chatted a moment about this and that. He was very upbeat. When our dock guys moved to take the load to his truck, he excused himself and left to join them.

After they had the pallet up against the rear wall of the trailer, he proceeded to carefully strap it against the wall, listening attentively while my guys explained what the cargo was, and the amount of tension they felt was appropriate.

Having spent many years in shipping and receiving positions, I feel that Ralph exhibited a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while he was at RTI. Saia can be proud of his representation of your company.

Best regards,

Southwest Moulding fell into a situation that was critical to resolve as soon as possible. With your dispatcher and driver already servicing us earlier in the day, we had to request a secondary pickup, which I know is a challenge at times.

To make a long story short, GRL City Dispatcher Zachery Allen pulled a rabbit out of the hat for us and made our shipment possible to pick up and deliver to our customer in time to prevent unwanted consequences.

Southwest Moulding and our customer greatly appreciate Zachery's and the traffic team's efforts!

Thank you!

This email was sent to Saia shipper, Signature Fundraising, from one of their customers who we delivered a shipment for…They, in turn, passed it onto Saia Account Executive Kristen Laub.

…We have never used this trucking company before and we are very impressed with them. Their daily tracking was superior to many of the other companies used, the people on the phone were awesome, and the trucker was fantastic!

Thanks for your help with this.
