Arceneaux Retires

HGO Collections Specialist Denise Arceneaux retired April 30 after working for 32 years at Saia! According to HGO Collections Supervisor Michelle LeBoeuf, Denise had a successful career in accounts receivables. Additionally, she was an active member of Saia’s Wellness Committee, promoting better health to her coworkers and was named a “Wellness Champion.” Michelle said Denise is looking forward to retirement as she plans to spend more time with her mother, husband, children and grandchild. “Her contributions will always be valued and remembered,” stated Michelle. “Her hard work, commitment and dedication are worthy of admiration. We wish Denise the best in her new endeavors.”

Rowland Retires

After 22 years with the company, JAX Regional Claims Prevention Specialist G.R. Rowland retired at the end of April.

A valued member of the claims prevention team, G.R. was a past recipient of Saia’s highest honor, the Tony Richards Award. G.R. was honored by his coworkers with a luncheon. Congratulations G.R. - we all wish you many happy years of retirement! You’ll be missed!

Celebrate What Matters!

During our quarterly employee meetings, we announced a new recognition program, “Celebrate What Matters!” As part of the announcement, we all heard about the incredible actions of GLK Line Driver Juan Alaniz, who embodied the Core Values of Safety, Taking Care of Each Other, Do the Right Thing and Community. We are excited to announce we’ll be recognizing Juan and all Grayslake team members with a cookout.

Moving forward, every quarter, we’ll ask our divisional vice presidents and regional leadership team to submit stories of other employees, like Juan, who are also living the values through their actions.

Submissions from each terminal will be reviewed by a committee and if chosen, the whole terminal will receive a barbecue or cookout! Every quarter, we’ll choose one terminal from each one of our 12 regions for recognition.

We can’t wait to read about all of the wonderful deeds our employees have accomplished as we work to provide recognition that aligns with our values!
