Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights the new GLK terminal manager appointment, the new chief financial officer, a new zone manager and the new MAD terminal manager.

Brown Named GLK Terminal Manager

Brian Brown has accepted the position of GLK terminal manager. Brian has been with Saia for nearly 30 years, eight in the CGO Region. He has served in a variety of roles and has made a positive impact in each one, most recently as the zone manager for our GBY/MAD/WAU terminals.

GLK has achieved many milestones since its doors opened three years ago, but the potential for this terminal is still in its youth. The expectation for continued growth and operational development at GLK remain. Brian's industry experience and expertise in break operations positions him to lead GLK to the next level.

Chambers Appointed Chief Financial Officer

Rob Chambers has been named the company's new vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). In this position, he will provide oversight of Saia's finance, accounting and treasury functions.

Rob’s knowledge and experience in supply chain and logistics finance will provide broad-based business acumen, leadership and risk management that will impact Saia beyond the finance function. He possesses a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accountancy from Stetson University. He’ll be based at the ACO.

Fritz Holzgrefe, Saia's CFO since 2014, will continue in his role as Saia’s president and chief operating officer.

Laverdure Named GBY/MKE/WAU Zone Manager

Bob Laverdure has assumed the role of GBY/MAD/WAU zone manager. Bob has been with Saia for 10 years, most recently serving as the MKE terminal manager. With our re-alignment of the Wisconsin zones, he will now assume responsibility over GBY and WAU in addition to retaining MKE.

Both he and the terminal are former President’s Club and Best-in-Class winners. Bob’s leadership, and the experience of the MKE team, will assist the newly formed zone in reaching new heights. His extensive knowledge of the Wisconsin market will serve him well as we position ourselves to increase profitable market share in the state.

Martinez Promoted to MAD Terminal Manager

Brendan Martinez has accepted the position of MAD terminal manager. Brendan has been with Saia for nearly a year serving as the MAD operations manager, but has 18 years of industry experience that ranges from dockworker to terminal manager.

He has been very effective running the day-to-day operations at MAD and has been successful at driving the expected performance levels required for future growth. Brendan has built a true team in MAD and now has the opportunity to lead them into the future.
