Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights several new employees that have been hired or promoted.

Hacker Named GRA/GRY Terminal Manager

David Hacker has been named our Grand Rapids and Grayling, Michigan zone manager.

Though new to Saia, David has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, most of which was spent at Dayton Freight.

He started his career as a driver and then served in various management positions. He attended Grand Rapids Community College.

Phillips Receives Promotion

Thomas Phillips has been named our new Cincinnati, Ohio terminal manager. In this role, Thomas will direct and coordinate all activities of the terminal and its employees, following all company policies and procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations, to provide cost effective, timely, quality service to customers.

He joined Saia in 2014 and has worked in several terminals, including Charlotte and Charleston, serving in several roles including dock supervisor, operations manager, and zone and assistant terminal manager. Thomas graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree.

New IND Terminal Manager Named

Mike Conley has been named our new Indianapolis, Indiana terminal manager. Mike joined Saia in January of this year and had been serving as the assistant terminal manager.

He has 20 years of experience in the transportation industry having served in a variety of positions including supervisor, service coordinator, terminal manager and area performance manager, among others.

Bennett Appointed JKN/SAG Manager

Roy Bennett has been named our new Jackson and Saginaw, Michigan zone terminal manager. Roy is new to the company, but has 20 years of experience in the industry having worked as a driver, dockworker, supervisor, operations manager and terminal manager.
