Letters

This month's Letters highlight Saia employees or departments that have received special thanks from some of our customers or the public.

Below is an email recognizing the great work by the following employees – SCR National Account Executive Jennifer Seiwell, HGO Collections Specialist Angela LeCompte, and HGO Collections Supervisor Michelle LeBoeuf. Because of their dedication and hard work, Saia was named CLX Logistics’ “Carrier of the Week”. It comes to us from HGO Director Revenue Management Sarmona Miller.

We have been working with Saia on the Nouryon and Akzo accounts for the better part of 2021. I cannot thank Saia enough for being so patient with CLX Logistics as we worked through all the issues! From EDI issues, to combined shipments all billed separately, and having to request so many invoices.

Jennifer, Angela, and Michelle have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. Angela is always on top of her email and provides anything that we need, despite the manual work on her side.

We have been in weekly meetings with them for Nouryon and we collectively worked together toward the end-goal of clearing the backlog of invoices that have built up for Nouryon, specifically.

They definitely deserve to be recognized! Thank you for being an outstanding partner with CLX!

Below is an email recognizing the stellar work by a member of our sales team! It was shared with us by NWK Regional Sales Manager John Kelley.

Hello John,

I wanted to reach out to let you know what an asset NWB Senior Account Executive John Stankovich is for Saia and all of us who are lucky enough to have been assigned to him.

I was brought on as a project manager for a small start-up. I did not know anything about shipping. I didn't even know what to ask but that wasn't a problem because John took the lead when he recognized my inexperience. He graciously obtained three quotes for me while helping me set up my account. We experienced some internal setbacks and John was there to help me navigate checking in by email and phone. He took my frantic calls in the early morning, late evening and even over the holiday weekend.

John never made me feel that my questions were remedial but like I was mastering the process like a pro even when I wasn't. He took the initiative to get me set up on LinkEx TMS, sat through my training session, and followed up afterwards. He helped me schedule, and sat through, the training session again with our chief of sales and operations officer, CEO and CPA. He instructed us to set up third party shipping, saving us fees that I would not have known existed, much less how to navigate them. He helped me set up terms and e-invoicing and e-billing. I'm thinking there is nothing he can't or won't do to support his clients.

He helped me troubleshoot issues with the platform and volunteered to review my first three orders that I set up myself. I got a congratulations email today because my first scheduled shipment arrived to our customer. I greatly appreciated having someone to celebrate what was a monumental success for me - the person that had no idea where to start - when I met him.

I'm really grateful for his support, diligence and kindness. He has made me look brilliant within our small team - they had been struggling with shipping since their inception because they didn't have John. I appreciate you for taking the time to read this. It was very important to me that you know that John has made a difference and as I move on to my next project management position, if it requires any kind of shipping I will be reaching out to Saia again and hopefully, I will be assigned to John once again.

Wishing you all the best,
Kim Lowe
